Assistant Communications and Public Affairs Manager

Main Duties

  • Plan and develop branding and marketing strategy for Scouting;
  • Build and maintain good relationship with media and other stakeholders;
  • Monitor website and other social media platforms of the Association;
  • Manage the Association’s photo archive;
  • Handle and respond to enquiries and complaints from the media and public effectively;
  • Support and coordinate the production of the Association’s communication materials such as press releases, line-to-take, annual reports, newsletters, presentation and promotional materials;
  • Support crisis and issues management;
  • Support scouting activities and projects;
  • Participate in and provide administrative support to committees and related meetings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experiences, preferably from sizable organisations;
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Well-organised and attentive to details;  
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
